Discovering What It Means To Be Selfless – Day 1

I recently searched for verses on this specific topic and found 20-something that I took on in my bible study hours. I hope to publish as time allows. Here’s Day 1 of “Discovering what it means to be selfless.” Let’s … Continue reading

Stand Firm – Archived Poem

So…I guess you could say I got caught up in ‘the poetry thing.’ Probably true. Any who, here’s one I wrote back in April of this year. Is there anybody else out there who likes writing poetry? Stand Firm Brothers and sister, stand firm! Holding fast to the teachings that we passed on to you in turn. … Continue reading

Our God Stands Forevermore!

Hey there!

Just a reminder that the Lord our God never ends, never sleeps, never slumbers and never forsakes His Children.

Isaiah 40:8

“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

Coollages!

Hey there!

Yesterday I downloaded some collage apps and had some fun playing around with them. Here are some of the nature collages:

Flowers 1

Flowers 2

This one reminds me of the song and Bible verse: I will enter His Gates with Thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise!

These were 2-colored roses that I had arranged to fit with my room color!

A garden of peace and a haven of rest…

I know my blending isn’t very good, but I just had some fun!

Verse for the Weekend

I guess, most of us, think that when Saturday comes, it’s great to sleep late and relax a bit. There’s obviously nothing wrong with taking life slow some times, but, getting caught in a web of laziness is oh-so-easy! The Bible even talks about lazy people. His advice to them is to go and watch an ant!

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!

Proverbs 30:25

Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;

The Bible also talks about a sluggard quite a few times over:
How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep?
A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he will not even bring it back to his mouth!
As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed.
A sluggard is wiser in his own eyes than seven people who answer discreetly.
Still want to turn on your bed the whole day? I bet not! Get to work serving God and others. If you’re not sure how to get started, I can always give you a few pointers!
Enjoy your weekend and be sure to share with us what you did to stay out of the “web of laziness!”
