Discovering What It Means To Be Selfless – Day 2

Day 2 of Discovering What It Means To Be Selfless is about loving others just as I love myself and showing that by being sympathetic and like-minded in Christ. This is quite a big issue! It’s the second greatest commandment … Continue reading

Pluck Them Out!!!

Daily Verse—April 14th

When some people stray from the Truth of God’s Word, they become discouraged, thinking that they won’t be received back by the Lord. However, this is NOT true! “The Lord, in His infinite Mercy, has granted us a way of escape” by which we might escape the guilt of backsliding. We are given a second chance. In fact, every new day is a second chance. USE IT WELL!

Some people need to be left until they are in the ‘sin pool’ where they will finally realize for themselves that they need the Lord. If they weren’t allowed to go into the sin pool, then they may not have come to their senses completely!

A friend of mine, in the first sermon that he ever preached, said that “…before we can truly change, we first need to hit rock bottom—we need to end up finding Christ the solid Rock!” The Rock of our Salvation! Today’s verse is taken from Luke 15:17 where the younger son finally came to his senses…

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.

There is always a second chance, as long as there is life! Jesus is our Life!

Our Tears Matter to God

Have you recently experienced something so terrible that you rather wished to die? Jesus Christ understands our pain—he bore the ultimate pain for us!

YOUR pain is not in vain. HE is making you stronger and helping you grow in your walk with HIM.

Sometimes, a painful or frustrated situation is just what God need to get our attention…

Yet, when He gets our attention, He is “close to the brokenhearted…”

We can de-stress our lives so much more by giving all our stress and anxiety to Him…He’ll willingly bear it for His Children.

Our struggles matter to God;

Our trails and temptations matter to God;

Our Salvation matters to God;

And our TEARS matter to God…

Why not give Him your tears and struggles? Why not surrender your entire life to Him. He promised that the road won’t be an easy one, but He grants peace and satisfaction to His Chosen Ones-His Children…Lay it down…
